Diagnostic procedure

Conditions:
•         This procedure may require the hood to be opened or the SFD protection to be unlocked
•         This procedure may require temporary deactivation of the Gateway diagnostic filter

Conditions:
•         Visual inspection for cracks in the connector plastic(s).
•         Visual inspection of the HV cable insulation at the connector(s) (hybrid or EV only). Insulation must be intact and undamaged.
•         Visual inspection of the LV cable insulation at the connector(s). Insulation must be intact and undamaged.
•         Visual inspection for damage to the inverter. The aluminum housing must not be damaged.
•         Visual inspection of the LV cable insulation to the onboard electrical system. Insulation must be intact and undamaged.
•         Visual inspection that components and wiring of comfort consumers are undamaged.

This is the procedure for unlocking the following control unit after impact: XX - Gateway

This procedure may also need to be performed in the control units:

•         XX - engine
•         XX - Battery control

Go to the respective control units in VIS for the specific procedures

Put the vehicle into drive-ready (ready-to-drive) mode

connect with the control unit XX - Gateway

Unlock SFD

XX - Basic settings UDS
select item in menu:
IDEXXXXX-ENGXXXXXX - system XXV: reset crash disconnection (crash cut-off)
Start
desired condition: Successfully completed

delete error memory

End of test
